About Is Right.

Is Right Liverpool is an independent guide to the city. No tourist filler, no press releases dressed up as reviews, no listicles written by someone who's never been past the Albert Dock. Just where to actually go.

We cover pubs, coffee, food, events, the match, parking (if we must), and anything else worth knowing if you live here, work here, or you're coming up for the weekend. Every recommendation has someone's name behind it. We've either been, we know people who go, or we're arguing about it in the pub already.

How we pick

Independent first. Local first. We write about the places that give the city its character. The ones a chain can't replicate. If a pint is poured right, a coffee is pulled well, or a gig is worth the ticket, we'll say so. If it isn't, we'll say that too.

What we don't do

We don't take freebies. We don't do paid reviews dressed up as editorial. If a piece is sponsored, you'll know it. It'll say so at the top, not hidden in small print at the bottom. Our reputation with locals is worth more than whatever a venue is offering to get a five-star write-up.
